2026 Bing-Wu (丙午) Year: How to Read the Annual Year in Zi Wei Dou Shu
2026 is the Bing-Wu (丙午) Fire Horse year. On your Zi Wei Dou Shu chart, the Annual Year Life Palace (流年命宫) falls on the Earthly Branch Wu (午) —
whatever theme that palace carries, that's the main thread for the year.
The Si Hua of a Bing Year (Remember These Four First)
| Transformation | Star | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Hua Lu | Tian Tong (天同) | Blessings, enjoyment, smooth interpersonal relations |
| Hua Quan | Tian Ji (天机) | Adaptability, strategy, control |
| Hua Ke | Wen Chang (文昌) | Documents and academic honors, reputation and benefactors |
| Hua Ji | Lian Zhen (廉贞) | Emotional entanglements, legal troubles — the star of confinement. This year, pay close attention to which palace Lian Zhen occupies |
Lian Zhen Hua Ji is the key phrase of 2026: the people, matters, and things in the palace where Lian Zhen sits are prone to obsession and entanglement this year;
if it happens to land on your Spouse Palace (夫妻宫), Career Palace (官禄宫), or Wealth Palace (财帛宫), take extra care with the details of relationships and contractual matters.
How to Read the Three Layers of Overlapping Palaces
- Natal layer: Which of your palaces is the Wu (午) palace? What is the star combination there?
- Decade Limit layer: What is the relationship between the current Decade Limit (大限) Life Palace and the Wu palace? What role does the Wu palace play within the Decade Limit?
- Annual Year layer: Which of your natal palaces do the Si Hua of the Bing year activate?
Example: For someone whose natal Spouse Palace is at Wu, the 2026 Annual Year Life Palace overlaps the Spouse Palace — relationships and partnerships become the theme of the whole year;
add Lian Zhen Hua Ji on top of that, and interpersonal relationships will carry a sense of "sweetness with a bitter aftertaste — good at first, then wearing."
